Health Professionals That Care

Our Patients

Demographics –
At BCHA, our doors are open to everyone. There are days at the office where we see a 90-year old person trying to stay active and then we see a 9-day old whose parents who would like them to stop crying. And, of course, we see everyone in-between. Treatment plans are tailor-made for each individual. After your initial visit, our practitioners will put together a treatment specifically for you. First to help relieve your presenting complaint, then to assist in preventing it from re-occurring, then to optimize your overall state of health.

Conditions –
Often we are asked, "what conditions can your office treat?". Basically, we specialize in conditions related to the muscular, skeletal and nervous systems. Here is a list of the most common presenting complaints at our office: low back pain, neck stiffness/pain, headaches, sciatica, foot/ankle/knee/hip conditions/injuries, shoulder/elbow/wrist conditions/injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome. We welcome people asking questions and inquiring if we have a service that may help them, and we consult with other health-care practitioners working in the best interest of the patient.

Sports Injuries –
From the weekend-warrior to the professional athlete, we enjoy treating acute sports injuries and getting the athlete back to their sport as soon as safely possible. We utilize a variety of manual (hands-on) therapies and assistive therapeutic modalities (Laser Therapy, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation), to treat the presenting injury/condition, and then provide advice to optimize the athlete's performance.

Motor Vehicle Accidents –
At any time, our office is managing at least a dozen motor vehicle accident cases. We are registered with the appropriate governing bodies (FSCO) and we are knowledgeable about navigating through the insurance claim process. We will put together a comprehensive treatment plan involving the appropriate health-care disciplines and provide advice for self-care to help your recovery from an MVA.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) –
Our practitioners are all registered with WSIB as treatment providers. These cases can be complex and involve paperwork. Our team will assist you with this process and provide the appropriate care to get you back on the job as soon as safely possible.
